Williams: not proper to comment

admin

Acting Commissioner of Police designate Stephen Williams yesterday said he will be able to respond to questions on the findings of the investigating officer after he returns to the country. He declined to respond to any questions on the matter – including relating to the scope of his previous disclosures of the report’s contents – saying it would be improper for him to do so given the line of command. He said there was an Acting Commissioner of Police, Ann Marie Alleyne-Daly, and she was in charge. He also declined to state whether he had met with the Head of Special Branch over a finding in the report, submitted since April 7, which stated the Special Branch had not provided requested information to the investigating officer.
