UWI Debe ‘particularly important’

VICE-CHANCELLOR of The University of the West Indies (UWI) Sir Hilary Beckles yesterday said that the UWI Penal/ Debe institution, “is particularly important with respect to community engagement, integration and impact.” This in response to former president George Maxwell Richards saying that UWI St Augustine campus was “in grave danger” of losing its autonomy, with regard to the recent opening of a law school in Debe.
