US Chargé d’Affaires pays visit to Housing Ministry

Chargé d’Af­faires at the U.S. Em­bassy, Dr. Jenifer Nei­d­hart de Or­tiz, paid a cour­tesy call on Min­is­ter of Hous­ing David Lee, and Min­is­ters in the Min­istry of Hous­ing, Anil Roberts and Phillip Ed­ward Alexan­der on Wednes­day.

Dur­ing the vis­it, the Min­is­ters, to­geth­er with the Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary (Ag.) Shan­ma­tee Singh Ng Sang and Deputy Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary (Ag.) Lena Hanooman Boodram, en­gaged in dis­cus­sions on the min­istry’s hous­ing agen­da and the vi­tal role it plays in de­vel­op­ing sus­tain­able com­mu­ni­ties with­in the coun­try.

Ac­cord­ing to a state­ment, both par­ties shared in­sights and ex­pe­ri­ences from their re­spec­tive roles, high­light­ing the shared com­mit­ment to build­ing re­silient and in­clu­sive com­mu­ni­ties in keep­ing with the Unit­ed Na­tions Sus­tain­able De­vel­op­ment Goals.
