Trichet to ‘examine options’ on bank inquiry co-operation


The Oireachtas banking inquiry may yet have an opportunity to hear the views of the European Central Bank on the State’s financial crisis. Taoiseach Enda Kenny has written to members of the joint Oireachtas committee to indicate that former ECB president Jean Claude Trichet is willing to examine a number of options that could allow him to provide the committee with the information it is seeking.
