Protest leads to surgery delays


ON A DAY when there were numerous surgeries planned at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EW MSC) in Mt Hope, only one spinal surgery was conducted yesterday as protests by medical workers crippled surgeons’ abilities to perform their tasks. A hospital source said that on any given day, 20 surgeries are done at the institution.
