New board appointed at WASA

A new board of com­mis­sion­ers has been ap­point­ed to the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA).

At a cer­e­mo­ny on Wednes­day morn­ing at the Min­istry of Pub­lic Util­i­ties’ head of­fice in St. Clair, Min­is­ter Bar­ry Padarath pre­sent­ed let­ters of ap­point­ment to the in­com­ing board.

At­tor­ney-at-law Roshan Bab­wah has been named chair­man. He holds an MBA and has worked as a prin­ci­pal con­sul­tant and se­nior hu­man re­source man­ag­er.

Dr. Mau­rice J. Hoyte, Act­ing Pres­i­dent of the East­ern Cred­it Union, was ap­point­ed deputy chair­man. He holds a PhD in Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion.
