THE home of a relative of a man who was murdered on Tuesday was set on fire on Wednesday.

Police say this is linked to an ongoing gang war.

Around 8 am on Tuesday, Reynold Victor was shot dead on Saddle Road, San Juan. A woman, Jelissa Payne, was also shot but later died at hospital.

Police had told Newsday Victor was a relative of a known criminal.

On Wednesday around 11.30am, the home of a female relative of Victor at Vegas, Morvant, was set on fire.

Police said about ten men set the house on fire. A viral video shows the men throwing flambeaux at the house.

Police said Victor’s murder, as well as this arson attack, were called from behind prison walls.
