A man escaped from police who arrested him by asking to use the bathroom and then running away.

Police said officers of the Port of Spain Task Force visited a house on Kelly Street, Diego Martin, at around 5.50 am on Thursday and found a white plastic bag containing marijuana hanging from a window frame. The marijuana amounted to 620 grams.

Police arrested three men, a 21-year-old and two 20-year-olds.

A 43-year-old woman who was in the house at the time was also arrested.

While they were at the house, one of the 20-year-old men asked to use the bathroom. Police allowed him to do so but he ran away through the living room.

They searched the area but did not find him.

The other two men and woman were arrested.

Investigators said one of the men arrested is a “priority offender” who was wanted in relation to several enquiries.
