Gunmen beat retired principal, wife during robbery

Moruga police are investigating a home invasion in Santa Maria Village where gunmen beat a retired school principal and his wife and stole their van before dawn on Friday.

The victims were taken for medical treatment at the hospital.

The police said the gunmen entered the house at Penal Rock Road and began demanding cash and valuables.

The gunmen beat the two, then left in the red Isuzu van, which headed toward the Penal area.

No one has been arrested.
