A Venezuelan national is among four people shot and wounded early Saturday when gunmen opened fire on their vehicle in Sangre Grande.
Police said around 12:45 a.m., a watchman at the Sangre Grande Hospital was driving a black Nissan Tiida with three passengers west along Katwaroo Trace. As they neared the hospital construction site, they heard explosions and felt burning sensations.
All four were taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital's Accident and Emergency Unit for treatment.
Officers from the Eastern Division Task Force and Crime Scene Investigators responded. They found twelve spent 9mm shells and are reviewing CCTV footage.
Investigations are ongoing.
