Five suspects have been arrested and a firearm, ammunition, and narcotics seized following two anti-crime exercises in the Eastern Division over the weekend.

Acting on intelligence, officers proceeded to Plum Road, Manzanilla, where they arrested a 27-year-old woman for possession of a firearm. The weapon was found loaded with a magazine containing 27 rounds of ammunition.

In an earlier operation in the Mayaro district, which took place between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Friday 27th June, officers from the Criminal Investigations Department and Canine Branch arrested four individuals.
