

Eight suspects have been arrested in a series of anti-crime exercises across the Central Division on Monday.
The arrests came as part of investigations into serious offences, including kidnapping, robbery with violence, burglary and rape.
Officers of the Chaguanas CID detained a 50‑year‑old Cunupia man in connection with a rape reported in the Chaguanas area on June 21.
In a separate exercise, a joint team from the Couva CID and the Central Division Task Force (Area South) apprehended five suspects, ages 25 to 42, for burglary-related offences. The same team also held two men, ages 53 and 45, in connection with a report of kidnapping and robbery with violence.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
