David Thompson`s Widow To Run For His Seat

CaribWorldNews, BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Tues. Jan. 5, 2011: Mara Thompson, the widow of late Barbadian prime minister David Thompson is set to run for his seat later this month.

Mrs. Thompson was selected as the candidate of the governing Democratic Labor Party to contest the January 20th by-election in the island`s St John`s constituency.

She will face-off against the Barbados Labor Party`s Hudson Griffith. The seat was held by PM David Thompson until his recent death.
