The Customs and Excise Division has confirmed that the Customs Border Control System (CBCS) remains operational but some users continue to face challenges with consignment clearance.

In a public advisory, the Division indicated that it is collaborating with other border agencies to resolve the technical issues affecting system performance. While core operations are still functioning, certain users may experience delays or disruptions.

The Division expects full restoration of CBCS services by noon on Saturday July 5, 2025. In the meantime, it has implemented measures to support users and facilitate the timely processing of all transactions. Border operations will continue with manual and contingency procedures where necessary.

The Division has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining efficiency in national border management. It has expressed appreciation to stakeholders, including the business community and general public, for their continued patience and cooperation throughout the ongoing efforts.

Customs officers and technical support teams remain engaged in monitoring the system and providing assistance to affected users. The Division has not disclosed the specific cause of the system issues but emphasised that minimising disruptions remains a priority.

Traders and importers have been encouraged to maintain close contact with their respective customs brokers and relevant agencies for guidance on processing during this period.

The Division indicated that additional updates will be provided if necessary. The public is advised to continue using official communication channels for information on service restoration and system functionality.
