CEPEP questions millions spent in Oropouche projects


THE Community Based Environmental Protection and Enhancement Programme (CEPEP) said its management has discovered a misappropriation of $39.6 million of CEPEP funds spent on construction projects in the Oropouche East constituency of its former line minister, Dr Roodal Moonilal. CEPEP made this statement in a newspaper advertisement, in response to claims made by Moonilal. As Housing and Urban Development Minister in the former People’s Partnership (PP) government, Moonilal was line minister for CEPEP.
