Crop Over event promoters will have an extra week to plan their events and scope out the best venues. Fete lovers and soca enthusiasts will get an extra week and weekend to party, spread their arms and let go to the big bad soca.
Last year, the first Monday in August fell on August 1. When August 1 is Kadooment Day, that produces the shortest Crop Over season.
