An argument outside a Barataria bar early on Saturday morning led to a stabbing where of one man was killed and three others wounded.
Police said Ryan Morris, 38, was liming with three other men outside the R&R bar on the corner Sixth Avenue and 11th Street, at around 3.15 am.
During the argument two men pulled out knives and attacked Morris and his friends.
The wounded men tried to escape by running away but collapsed nearby.
They were then taken to hospital where Morris was declared dead.
Officers of the Barataria CID were called in and are continuing enquiries with officers of the Region II Homicide Bureau.
