One dead, three wounded after Barataria stabbing

An ar­gu­ment out­side a Barataria bar ear­ly on Sat­ur­day morn­ing led to a stab­bing where of one man was killed and three oth­ers wound­ed.

Po­lice said Ryan Mor­ris, 38, was lim­ing with three oth­er men out­side the R&R bar on the cor­ner Sixth Av­enue and 11th Street, at around 3.15 am.

Dur­ing the ar­gu­ment two men pulled out knives and at­tacked Mor­ris and his friends.

The wound­ed men tried to es­cape by run­ning away but col­lapsed near­by.

They were then tak­en to hos­pi­tal where Mor­ris was de­clared dead.

Of­fi­cers of the Barataria CID were called in and are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries with of­fi­cers of the Re­gion II Homi­cide Bu­reau.
